Over 40 beaches and five Marinas in Wales have been awarded the prestigious European Blue Flag award recognising the highest standards of bathing water quality and beach management. This inludes the beach at Dinas Dinlle close to Cae Mawr (we can see the big dune from the lounge window).

The beach at Newborough, which is visible on the other side of the Menai Straits opposite Dinas Dinlle, was also again awarded Blue Flag status.
